Global Multi-Layered Air Defence System — Promotional Film

Six layers, each with its own answer, and none of them meaning much alone.
A multi-layered air defence is not six systems standing next to each other. Each layer is matched to a different part of the threat — its range, its altitude, the time there is to react — and what makes them a defence rather than a collection is the command and control running across all of them.
So the film is organised around C2 rather than around the products. System of Systems is what it is actually arguing, and the scenarios move through the layers in order, which is the only way the arrangement explains itself.
