GR-LIG Multi-Robot Control
Three different people in three different places, and one fleet of robots between them.
A control room on a desktop, a field operator on a phone, and the suppliers of the payloads on a platform of their own. One package had to hold all three.
This was the first of these programmes run in sprints rather than phases, which meant the service structure and the detailed design were being settled while the build was already moving.
Requirements moved throughout — a demonstration for visiting executives arrived mid-flight and had to be absorbed. That is the cost of working this way, and also the reason for it.
