It stands in the living room, so its display is part of the furniture — and it has to be readable from the sofa.
A premium air purifier is looked at from across a room, by people who are not thinking about it.
Air quality has to be legible at a distance and unobtrusive at rest, which are opposite demands on the same display. Colour and marking carry both: what dust and gas readings look like, and what the product's visual identity is when nothing is happening.
Graphics and visual identity were developed together, and the scope grew twice during the work.
