PS-COO-135 · r3 COORDINATION OBSERVED ENGAGED

SETTLED ON ONE SURFACE

It was dealt with once and asks again from somewhere else.

01   DEFINITION

Condition in which one item is presented on several surfaces at once while acting on it happens at only one of them, so until that act reaches the others the person meets again what they have already finished with.

02   CONDITIONS

UNCERTAINTY CONFLICTING Each surface holds its own answer to whether the thing is still outstanding.
TIME PRESSURE SHORT The interval before the others know is brief and is exactly when the person is still there.
ERROR ASYMMETRY ASYMMETRIC Clearing something nobody dealt with and asking twice are failures of different size.
OPERATOR STATE CONCURRENT The person is in the middle of something and is interrupted by it more than once.

03   WHERE IT APPEARS

MEDICALA finding acknowledged at one station stays open at every other until the acknowledgement travels.
LOGISTICSAn exception cleared at the depot remains outstanding on the vehicle and in the office.
ENERGYAn annunciation accepted at one panel is still standing on the others that show it.
MANUFACTURINGA call answered at the machine keeps calling from the supervisory screen.
PUBLIC SERVICEA case actioned in one channel is still pending in the others the person can see.
AI EXP.A request settled in one place is asked again by every surface that had also been given it.

04   WHAT AEON WORKED THROUGH HERE

The same notice appeared on everything the person owned, and dealing with it in one place left it standing everywhere else. What began as reassurance — you will not miss it — became one demand repeated by every surface in the room. The work went into what an act on one surface is entitled to settle across the rest, and into what the others do during the interval before they know.

The question it keeps returning to is what a surface should show while it does not yet know — one that clears on its own is clearing things nobody dealt with, and one that waits is asking a second time.
