04 WHAT AEON WORKED THROUGH HERE
The doing filled the view with what the doing produced, so evidence of whether it had worked arrived after the decision to keep going had already been made several times over. The work went into which other channel could answer the question, and into what the display is allowed to claim while it is blind.
The question it keeps returning to is what a surface should report during the interval it cannot see through — an estimate offered at that moment is acted on as though it were an observation, and withholding it leaves the operator continuing for want of a reason to stop.
