04 WHAT AEON WORKED THROUGH HERE
The function composed the arrangement and the person approved it, which was the whole design. What had no place in that exchange was a partial objection — the operator who could see one wrong element had to accept it or discard the rest along with it. The work went into where a proposal admits its own joints, and into what becomes of the parts that were never in question.
The question it keeps returning to is what a proposal owes about its own seams — showing where it could be taken apart invites it to be taken apart badly, and hiding them turns every reservation into a refusal.
