PS-HND-047 · r3 HANDOVER HYPOTHESIS ENGAGED

SHIFT HANDOVER LOSS

The state transfers at handover, but the reasoning behind it does not.

01   DEFINITION

Condition in which the state and reasoning held by an outgoing operator transfer only in part, and the incoming operator resumes control without the preceding context, while the system continues without pause.

02   CONDITIONS

UNCERTAINTY MISSING The grounds for the previous judgement were never recorded.
TIME PRESSURE MODERATE The handover moment is scheduled, but the time to explain is short.
ERROR ASYMMETRY ASYMMETRIC One piece of context that fails to transfer misaligns everything after it.
OPERATOR STATE TRANSFERRED Control has just been taken over, before the situation is understood.

03   WHERE IT APPEARS

LOGISTICSIn continuous operation the judgement history behind unresolved items breaks at the seam.
DEFENSEA judgement in progress at the handover point is not resumed.
MOBILITYRemote supervisors rotate and the record of prior intervention is lost.

04   WHAT AEON WORKED THROUGH HERE

The reason a previous operator left something unresolved must still be readable to the next one, without either of them having written a report.
